A New Direction for 2025

I have had so much fun letting the universe pop me in a little boat and take me down the river. The Boat is named “Pretty Produce”, and the river is called Creativity. This incredible river has wild rapids, breathless lulls, gentle serene flows, cascading waterfalls and in the distance, I see that it finally divides into two separate waterways.

I’ve decided that the merry little boat will start down one of the two different directions. The new river leads to open fields of Dahlias, Cosmos, Roses and Zinnias. I will now start a new chapter as a seed collector and plant grower. A plant breeder of sorts. This is where my true excitement lies. Where doesn’t my passion lie? I am not going to start a rant about how Australia is overregulated to the hilt and how that it is strangling small business. NO! I’m not going to lament the fact that this regulation is designed mainly to invent jobs and ensure that year on year those jobs make MORE jobs. All these service industries dont MAKE ANYTHING. They just suck us all dry.

The other part of Pretty Produce will also endeavour to supply a stunning range of PRESSED FLOWERS for all sorts of art applications. Due to the over whelming amount of regulations around supplying produce, we have made the decision that its just not worth going down that highly stressful, expensive and frustrating road that would mean a Food Safety and Risk Management regulation requirement. Ive only being supplying edible flower produce for a decade without ONE issue ever. Until things change and the real world finds sanity or there is a bloody revolution to over throw the current regime, I will leave that to the corporate farmers who can afford to play this game with the thrid party auditors.

To spell it out - if you purchase the Pressed Flowers online - you can use them for art purposes - however if you accidently decorate your cake or cookies with them, so be it. The Pressed Flowers are not endorsed as a FOOD PRODUCT but its obviously your choice how you go.

Any questions about the Pressed Flowers or the next stage of our adventure, please feel welcome to get in touch. Big Hugs. Simone xx
